I read with interest the article in the Citizen, December 6, regarding the amount of £4.25million being spent on the transformation of the Post Office Square, Leyland.
I was wondering whether the South Ribble Borough Council have anything planned for spending a similar amount of money for the Bamber Bridge area?
Having been a resident in Bamber Bridge for some 16 years, I have seen a steady decline in the area.
On walking through the village the other day, I looked around and all I could see was filthy pavements, litter (numerous cigarette ends) in the street gulleys and just a general shabbiness about the place.
I think it's about time the people of Bamber Bridge started making their views regarding this known and I would like to ask, through the medium of your paper, whether anybody else agrees with me regarding the above.
