Parent helps Preston hospital children's ward

The children’s ward at Royal Preston Hospital has received a cash boost thanks to the fundraising efforts of a kind-hearted lady whose son was treated there.

Marie Maylor, from Baxenden, East Lancashire, has raised more than £5,000 in the last year and half of this money will be presented to staff on the children’s ward to say thank you for the care her son Thomas received following a car accident in 2006.
