St Catherine’s Hospice launches Christmas campaign

St Catherine’s Hospice is launching its Christmas cards and 2009 calendar today.

The launch is taking place in a marquee on the front lawn at the Lostock Hall-based hospice until 4pm.

The calendar features 12 postcards of local Lancashire scenes and includes a selection of traditional recipes, from local celebrity chef Philippa James and is £3.50.

Christmas gifts and novelties will be on sale on the day and overprinting is available for business or personal use, admission is free.

All profits form the sale of goods will go directly into patient care which this year had to find £2.9 million from voluntary funding to run the hospice, in Lostock Lane, to enable it to provide the specialist care for those in need across Lancashire including Preston, Chorley and South Ribble.
