Holme Farm Dairies milkmen staged a fun-filled family event on Preston Flag Market and helped raise more than £300 for Cancer Research and a local good cause.

Holme Farm Dairies and Preston radio station, Rock FM's Street Team, gave the Flag Market a farmyard setting with baby calves, lots of straw and a Rodeo Bull with hundreds of people soaking up the sun and atmosphere.

For a small donation shoppers took part in the Holme Farm Dairies Rodeo Challenge and took away a goody bag filled with dairy goodness!

The goody bags contained a pint of Holme Farm Dairies milk, a carton of cream, a sample of cheese, eggs, Warburton crumpets and Yakult pens!

Shoppers were also invited to guess how many plastic milk cartons the average family uses each year.

The winners, Alex Harwood and Rebecca Leonard both from Preston, guessed correctly at 720 and will now receive £50 cash each.

By signing up to a daily doorstep delivery of glass milk bottles instead of plastic milk bottles people can reduce the amount of plastic waste sent to landfill each year.

Moeny raised will also go to Rock FM's Help a Local Child which raises cash for disadvantaged local youngsters.
