A 50-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent following an alleged assault in Preston.
A 44-year-old man remains in a critical but stable condition at the Royal Preston Hospital after being found with serious head injuries at a flat in Duke Street, in the Avenham area of the city, on Friday afternoon.
Police have now charged Roy Chatwood, of Duke Street, after being arrested at the scene and quizzed by detectives.
He has been released on conditional bail and will appear at Preston Magistrates' Court on September 9.
