A man brandishing a knife and wearing surgical gloves was arrested in a Preston park, last night.
The 39-year-old man was arrested by officers from the British Transport Police in Avenham Park, Preston, at 8.50pm, on Friday, September 5.
Inspector Lee Halstead, of Preston Police said: “After a routine stop officers from the BTP found the man in possession of a knife and wearing two pairs of surgical gloves.
“When he was searched back at the station, officers found more surgical gloves and a black balaclava.”
Inspector Halstead added that the man who has previous convictions for aggravated burglary is currently in custody being questioned by detectives.
