A Lancashire pilot suffered a broken back and two broken ankles as he crashed his glider into a Scottish mountain.
The 65-year-old, who police said was an experienced flyer, is being treated in hospital for his injuries.
The man, who is from Grimsargh, crashed at 1.15pm yesterday.
Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team leader Willie Anderson said he was “very lucky”.
He added: “There is a whole group of gliders up at Glen Feshie this weekend. Some of his friends were there.
“Apparently he’s a very experienced pilot and they don’t know what happened. He was very lucky.”
The pilot himself raised the alarm.
