A man walked out of a South Ribble supermarket with £900 worth of champagne which he paid for on a stolen credit card.
Police have released a CCTV still of a man they want to question in relation to the suspected fraud, at Booth’s, Liverpool Road, Longton.
It was on Thursday, March 13, that a man contacted the shop by telephone and placed an order for 15 bottles of champagne worth more than £900.
He paid with a stolen credit card before going into the shop at 7.45pm on the same day to collect the champagne.
He is described as white, around six-feet tall and in his late twenties. He was wearing a light jacket with a dark t-shirt PC Malcolm Hayman said: “We have got some very clear CCTV stills from the shop and are confident that someone will know who this is. I would encourage them to come forward.”
