The driver of a bin wagon in Penwortham which ran over and killed a colleague, from Chorley, has been banned from driving for two years.

Robert Anthony, 37, was also fined £400 after pleading guilty to driving without due care and attention.

Graham Bannister, 53, of Larch Avenue, off Botany Brow, Chorley, was killed when the bin wagon reversed over him in Priory Lane, Penwortham, last April.

The pair had been working for Leyland-based utilities company Enterprise who are contracted to provide South Ribble Borough Council's household waste collection service.
