UPDATE: Leyland eye shot teenager, 19, moved to specialist unit

A teenager has been transferred to a specialist unit after being shot in the eye in Leyland.

Paul Henley, 19, was injured in Robin Hey, Moss Side, on Friday, shortly before 9.30pm.

He was taken to Chorley Hospital where he received treatment for an injury to his left eye and has now been transferred to a specialist unit in Manchester.

Twenty-year-old Scott Walker, 20, of Pope Lane, Penwortham, has appeared before magistrates charged in connection with the incident.

He has been remanded in custody until December 15.

The weapon used is believed to have been an air weapon.
