Walkers can join walks near rural Garstang, not far from Preston, to raise cash for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The event is planned for May 10 at Cobble Hey Farm and Gardens with various walks planned.

One walk covers 5.5 miles, another 3 miles and an easy stroll around the picturesque gardens which is about a mile long.

The walks start and finish from the Cobble Hey Farm which, situated near Garstang, and encompasses beautiful countryside close to Beacon Fell.

A Tea Room and Gift Shop is available as well and plant lovers can also purchase specialists plants from the farm's nursery.

The area is an important wetland bird habitat so there will be plenty to see on which ever walk you choose.

The money raised from the walk will enable the Marie Curie nurses to provide hands on nursing care to cancer patients living in the area.

The service is totally free of charge to the patients and their families who would like to remain at home at a very difficult time.
