Members of the British Horse Society undertook a successful Trailer Training Course at Manchester recently.

The package had been set up for Mary Lennon and her branch of the BHS specifically and included explanations of vehicle and trailer checks, the correct procedure in terms of connecting and disconnecting trailers to vehicles, mirror settings, forward and reverse manoeuvres and a question and answer session.

Mary Lennon said: "Despite the cold weather everybody found the course very helpful indeed and many people commented that they had learnt a lot about using their trailers."

The course, held on March 9, was a one day package, lasting six hours.

Like this course, future sessions will usually be delivered at the Myerscough College campus although it can be offered off site subject to conditions.

Course Tutor Robert Rheubottom said: "Although this course is often done with the moving of equine horse trailers in mind, it can apply to any kind of trailer, including caravans."

For further information about the course please contact Myerscough College's Short Course Unit on 01995 642233.
