A Preston college open day and country fair proimises to be a fun-filled feast of family activities.

The Myerscough College Open Day and Country Fair is set to be one of the most eventful yet, college bosses say, with fantastic attractions guaranteed to provide fun for all the family.

This annual event will be held at the main campus on Sunday June 1 and will have fantastic displays, shows and interactive demonstrations from all our subject areas as well as lots of food, drink and live music all day long.

The day will also be an opportunity for prospective students to see the campus at its best and find out more about what Myerscough has to offer and the future careers available.

Highlights of the day will include an aerobatic flying display at 2pm.

For horse lovers, there will be displays provided by Thwaites Brewery Shire Horses as well as a fantastic range of events at our state of the art Equestrian Arena.

The popular Sheep Show will also be returning as will John Halstead Gundogs and Terry Large Falconry.

Additionally, animal enthusiasts will enjoy regular tours of the Animal Academy.

Agriculture and Countryside attractions include tractor drawn rides and visits to the farm and countryside and conservation zone.

There will also be a superb motorsport and machinery exhibition with all our vehicles on display.

Also returning is the Made in Lancashire' Food Hall which will be displaying local produce for people to purchase, sample and eat including cheeses, meats and fudge.

Children are likely to be kept busy with a wide variety of sports games and activities, while some people will find great delight in exploring our superb landscaped gardens on site.

Other organisations attending the event include the Army, the Navy and the Air Force.

The day will last from 10am-6pm with the last entry being at 4pm.

Admission is £10 per car.
