Blackburn Rovers' boss Mark Hughes is still hopeful that his side can sneak a Uefa Cup spot.
Saturday's victory at St James' Park, coupled with favourable results elsewhere, mean it is still possible, providing Rovers win both of their remaining two games against Tottenham and Reading.
Manager Mark Hughes said: "We hope we can carry this form into the next two games.
"That's the important thing for us because if we can get six points then who knows?
"Obviously, the results have gone for us this weekend, which is encouraging, and we now play Tottenham and then finish with Reading, so we can drag both of those clubs closer to us."
