FOLLOWING on from the celebrations at the Fraser Eagle Stadium last weekend it was always going to be a bit of an anti-climatic end to the season at MK Dons.

The Stanley boss used the tie to blood young Grant and also gave Dunbavin some much-needed match time.

The tension for the teams in the bottom four scrap must have been unbearable - as the goals went in up and down the country all three teams had a chance of staying up.

But the circle of justice that Bubs brought to my attention three weeks back did it's job and Boston United were dispatched back down to the Conference after a fellow-strugglers Wrexham came back from a goal behind to win 3-1, and in doing so, ensure their own survival.

The twist of justice, it seems, reaches even deeper than first hoped. With two minutes to go in the game and Boston having no chance of winning, the club entered into a CVA and thought the 10 points deduction for doing so would be taken off this season's meagre total.

However, the League had warned them about doing this two weeks ago and it looks like the points might well be taken off next season.

As they won the League by this very same act it would seem the world of football is overflowing with justice!

With the end of the season comes the end of a few players contracts with the Reds I am sad to see Michael Welch leave the club as I think he has been a loyal servant and his 40 yard goals come in handy from time to time. I wish him good luck and have no doubt that he will find another club in the not too distant future.

I am glad we still have John at the helm and hope we have him for many years to come as I am sure he approaches player discussions with the same never-say-die approach that he used to great effect on the pitch.
