ARMY exercises have forced the cancellation of next month's Hall Trophy Stages Rally which was due to run on September 9 at the Weeton Barracks, near Blackpool.
Organisers Clitheroe & District Motor Club are trying to agree new terms with the MoD to enable the event to run later in the year.
Clerk of the Course Bruce Lindsay said: "Hopefully, we'll be able to announce a new date by the end of the month. The aim is to run the rally in either late November or early December so that some stages will be run in darkness giving a totally new dimension to the event."
Details will be posted on the club website http://www.cdmconline.com as soon as they are available.
