JOHN Coleman has revealed that he wants to bring in "one or two" defenders at Accrington Stanley before next Friday's transfer deadline.
The Reds manager completed the six-month loan signing of Preston's teenage striker Chris McGrail on Monday but Coleman also wants to bolster his rearguard and admits there are two potential defenders in sight, one of which played League One football last season.
"We have got another week before the end of the transfer deadline to try and bring in one or two defenders."
Meanwhile, Robert Grant scored the only goal as Stanley's reserves beat their Chester City last night but Leighton McGivern saw red.
