Preston Bridge Club success for partially sighted man

A partially sighted man has been named the most improved student at Preston Bridge Club – just a year after taking up the game.
Dave Parkin is collected from his Penwortham home by fellow club members who take him to Preston Grasshoppers where the club meets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Dave, who thanks fellow players for their patience, is pictured receiving his prize from tutor Bill Mercer.
