BURNLEY-born Test cricketer Jimmy Anderson is the star of a film encouraging people to drink responsibly this summer.

The film features the Lancashire and England star running in to bowl in a crucial match and bowling the batsman out.

However, his big moment is ruined by the umpire who had been sneaking a drink and is unable to control himself any longer.

Anderson is an ambassador for the ‘Drink Less, Miss Less’ initiative from charity Drinkaware.

The scheme has been launched after research revealed that people in the North West drink more in the summertime than at any other time of the year.
