BARNSLEY boss Mark Robins believes Barnsley can take the weekend win over Nottingham Forest into tonight’s game at Burnley – and claim rare back-to-back wins.

The former Manchester United striker was delighted with his men against Forest and wants to see his men continue at Turf Moor.

“It was a good performance and a good result at the weekend. I thought we passed the ball well in spells and we weathered a storm at times.

“I was really pleased and the three points were very welcome,” said Robins.

“We were a lot better at the weekend and we needed to be because Nottingham Forest are a good side.

“We now want to take that on away from home. We have not won away from home yet but we have been close.

“Burnley are a good side. They have only just come down from the Premier League and have been able to retain some quality players.

“They have sold well and added to their squad in the summer.

“With the parachute money and everything that came in last season I think they will be on a very sound footing for years to come.

“They will be a threat in this league this season and we know it will be a tough game. They have some very decent players and, in Chris Eagles, they have someone who is probably playing a level below where he should be.

“They have a lot of quality in their squad and on the bench.

“We just have to keep our heads down and keep working in the right way.

“There is no doubt about it - we have improved this season but we have not won back-to-back games this season.

“And that is something I have stressed to the players – and hopefully we can change it.”
