BLACKBURN Rovers reserves suffered more late misery as Nathan Eccleston snatched a 3-3 draw for Liverpool in a thrilling encounter.

The visitors raced into a two-goal lead through Danny Wilson and an Eccleston penalty inside 25 minutes, leaving Rovers' second string a mountain to climb However, Josh Morris reduced the arrears with a stunning free-kick before two goals in three second-half minutes from Junior Hoilett and Matty Pearson turned the game on its head.

With time running out, John McMahon's men poured forward and snatched a share of the spoils when Eccleston steered home Wilson's clipped cross at the far post.

Iain Brunskill's men are still without their first win of the season in seven attempts, having now drawn four of their matches and lost three.

There were many impressive performances though again for the hosts although there tendency to concede late goals will be becoming an increasing concern.
