ROSSENDALE returned to winning ways with a bang after taking maxim-um points at Beverley.

Dale, who had lost on their two previous outings, produced their best performance of the season to blow Beverley away - only a flurry of late tries from the home side made the end result look a lot closer.

Paddy Pole put Rossendale on the road to victory with a typical bull-dozing try. When Beverley crossed against the run of play, Dale simply responded with two further tries by Roger Dennison and Leyton Taylor to go 18-7 up at halftime.

After the break, tries for Nathan Settle and another for Taylor was followed by a touchdown by player-coach James Bramhall to secure all five points.

“We were magnificent in every aspe-ct of our game,” said Bramhall. “We outplayed Beverley but, more import-antly, played with pride and passion. We now have to produce that kind of rugby every week to fly up the table.”
