BURNLEY Basketball Club seniors maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a hard-fought 76-59 Manchester Cup win over Bolton.
Fresh from their opening league victory over Tropics One, Burnley edged the opening quarter 17-16 with David Bolt and Stuart Limon scoring important baskets.
However, 11 points in three minutes put Bolton right back in it in the final quarter but Burnley responded with top scorer David Bolton and veterans Tom McEvoy and Nigel Robinson scoring important baskets to keep control and win by 17 points.
l Burnley Under 16s started their National League Under 16s with a 77-49 defeat at a very good Liverpool side before bouncing back with a 64-36 home win against Blackpool.
