In an end to end game at the Arbories, Atherton LR completed a Vodkat League Premier Division double over Padiham as they recorded a 3-1 win.
The visitors made a strong start and went ahead through Carl Beamish.
But the Storks drew level on 19 minutes when Paul Fildes, right, scored from the penalty spot following a handball.
The locals then went on to dominate the rest of the first half without adding a second goal and also had strong penalty appeals turned down.
In the second half Atherton had impressive striker Phil Howard to thank for their win after he scored on 66 minutes to give Rovers the lead before he set up Beamish on 74 minutes for his side’s clinching third goal.
