DANNY Fox has urged Burnley to beware the wounded animal as Coventry begin life without Aidy Boothroyd tonight.

The Sky Blues are looking for their 11th manager in 10 years after Boothroyd’s reign at the Ricoh Arena came to an end yesterday.

Saturday’s defeat to Hull City proved to be the former Watford boss’s last as their miserable run extended to just one win in 16 games.

And Fox isn’t sure what to expect from his old club in the immediate aftermath.

“I think they’ll be a bit down because obviously the gaffer got the sack,” he said.

“But a wounded animal is always the most dangerous when it’s vulnerable.”

Of the latest managerial casualty, Clarets boss Eddie Howe said: “I don’t think you want to see any manager lose his job.

“It just goes to show again what a tough league it is first and foremost and what a tough job it is.

“It has a volatile nature so I feel for him. The job we’re in, results dictate your future.

“We all know the pitfalls when we take the jobs and that’s what it’s about these days.”
