ACCRINGTON Stanley’s rearranged Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie against Tranmere is not currently expected to start with the visitors scoring a goal unchallenged.

Stanley host Tranmere again tomorrow after last week’s second round clash was abandoned when Reds defender Tom Bender suffered a serious head injury.

Tranmere led 2-1 after 38 minutes and, when asked about the subject, boss John Coleman had said he would consider offering the Merseyside outfit a goal at the start of the rearranged match.

But it is understood that both clubs expect the game to be played out as normal, with the visitors said to be content to start the match all square.
