JUNIOR Stanislas insists Burnley are braced for an action-packed October after taking time-out during the international break.

When manager Eddie Howe opted to give his players four days off last week fans feared momentum would be adversely affected following their first back-to-back wins.

But recent signing Stanislas is confident the Clarets will benefit from the opportunity to recharge their batteries as they prepare for a run of seven games in 21 days.

“We’ve got Reading (on Saturday) and the rest of this month is Tuesday-Saturday so there are a lot of games coming up and it’s important to stay fresh for them,” said the 21-year-old.

“We’ve had a few days off so I went back down to London and spent some time with the family.

"It’s been a nice break,” added new dad Stanislas, who is determined to influence his new club’s climb up the table and make the most of a busy schedule.

“It’s more opportunity for us to put some points on the board.

“It’s about building and getting more points and moving ourselves up the league.”

The former West Ham winger is now enjoying a run in the side after starting out on the bench straight after making the move from Upton Park in August.

Stanislas showed promise in the 1-1 draw with Southampton before really catching the eye in the 5-1 rout over Nottingham Forest, paving the way for Burnley’s first home league win of the season by setting up the first three goals.

That potential turning point in their season was their fifth game in 14 days, and the Londoner is keen to recapture that form against Reading on Saturday, to kick-off their next run of fixtures on a high.

“The games we’ve won and picked up points in previously will stand us in good stead for the next few,” he said.
