LEAM Richardson is confident his partnership with new Accrington Stanley boss Paul Cook can prove a success – although there was disappointment at signing off his caretaker spell with defeat last night.
Stanley were beaten 1-0 at Rotherham, with Cook taking a watching brief after being appointed on Monday, and Richardson will now become his assistant.
The 32-year-old had previously been in conte-ntion for the manager’s job himself but said: “The powers that be make the best decisions for the club and I’m 120 per cent behind that.
“I worked with Paul here in the Conference winning season and we’ve got the same beliefs.
“This is an opportunity for me to gain experience for when that chance inevitably will come in the future.”
