Bamber Bridge top the UniBond Division One North table after their 2-1 home victory over Bradford Park Avenue on Saturday.

Ryan Salmon put Brig ahead on 21 minutes and Adam Tong doubled the lead from a 30-yard free kick midway through the second half.

The visitors soon pulled a goal back Brig deservedly hung on for three points.

The win puts them one point clear of both Skelmersdale United who were beaten by FC United and Curzon Ashton whose match at Radcliffe was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
