FC United of Manchester 3 Bamber Bridge 2

Bamber Bridge went down to a narrow defeat against FC United of Manchester in this UniBond First Division North play-off semi-final match.

The home side took the lead in the 22nd minute lead against the run of play, and adding a second just before the break.

Neil Zarac pulled one back for Brig early in the second half only for United to regain their two goal advantage in the 69th minute.

Zarac scored his second in 79th minute to set up a tense finale and Brig came close to equalising in added time but were denied by the keeper.

FC United will be at home to Skelmersdale United in the play-off final on Saturday.
