Lancashire face mountain to climb

Andrew Flintoff's bowling comeback continued un-scathed and Surrey's former England batsmen churned out hundreds as Lancashire paid for their profligacy at the Brit Oval.
Captain Mark Butcher (120) followed Mark Ramp-rakash's earlier effort of 118 as the hosts reached 537 for five on the second day of the County Championship contest.
Another ex-international, Usman Afzaal, hammered 134 in his competition debut innings as Surrey declared.
Former England batsman Ramprakash's 118 was his 98th first-class hundred and came against the same opponents he closed 2007 with by taking them for twin tons.
Read's Oliver Newby took two wickets for a costly 112 in his 28 over spell, and Gary Keedy claimed one for 152.
The big bonus for Lancashire though was Flintoff's 28-over per-formance.
The England star looked comfortable as he continued his comeback from injury, taking one for 72.
Faced with a daunting total to chase, Lancashire lost an early wicket, Iain Sutcliffe walking to the pavilion with just 13 to his name.
At stumps, the visitors made it to 63 for one.
