Lancashire suffer Friends Provident wash-out

Lancashire and Derbyshire were forced to watch the rain fall at Old Trafford yesterday as their opening Friends Provident Trophy North Division game was washed out without a ball bowled.
Both sides are hoping to better their 2007 performance when neither made it out of the group stages.
Stuart Law's Lancashire Lightning travel to the Grange at Edinburgh next Sunday where they face the Scottish Saltires.
