Preston Grasshoppers are taking precautions to ensure the local derby against Fylde goes ahead this Saturday.
They have organised covers for the pitch and are standing by tolay them if frost looks likely.
Grasshoppers press officer Ken Moore said: "This is always an important game for both sides, especially this season when both are so close in the National Three North league table.
"As far as Hoppers are concerned, we are expecting our largest gate of the season so it is important that the game goes ahead for commercial reasons.
"Also we are still in the EDF National Trophy Competition and want to avoid possible fixture congestion later on."
The match at Lightfoot Green is scheduled to kick off at 3pm.
