Preston North End’s new Invincibles Pavilion stand is now open and the Preston Citizen had a behind the scenes tour to see what fans are likely to expect during matchdays at Deepdale.
It’s taken 12 years to complete but everything about the 4,000 seater stand has been carefully constructed; from the practicalities of easier disabled access to seating and executive boxes to unique never been seen past player images on display in many of the lounges and corridors.
Proud PNE chairman Derek Shaw said: “There’s a lot of people put a lot of work into this development and I’m really pleased for everyone involved, especially the supporters that we’ve managed to complete the stadium.”
The chairman also believes the new facilities are likely to attract other players to the club: “We have tough competition with other Championship clubs but hopefully things like this will prove to players we are a progressive club moving in the right direction.”
