Nathan Ellington has confirmed he is currently training with Preston North End as the Watford striker attempts to find a new club.
The Hornets manager Malky Mackay has stated Ellington is not part of his plans and the former Wigan man is available on loan or a free transfer.
Ellington is Watford's highest paid player and the club would not be able to select the striker even if Mackay wanted to as another appearance will trigger a payment to former club West Bromwich Albion.
Ellington confirmed he was training with Preston, who hired former Hull City boss Phil Brown this week, via his Twitter page.
