More umpires are needed for the Moore and Smalley Palace Shield.
The league is facing shortfall in the number of panel umpires as it currently only just about has enough umpires to cover the Premier and Division One matches.
The competition is looking to increase the number of panel umpires and will be encouraging new members and asking them to attend courses.
There may be some weeks during the summer where the league needs to call on reserves and the league is hoping to attract ex-players or umpires who would like to be considered for umpiring the odd match as required but would not like to commit themselves to being on the panel for 22 weeks a season.
Those interested should contact Bob Mansfield on 01772 724126.
