Teen Choice honours for Gossip Girl

TV series Gossip Girl swept the boards at the Teen Choice Awards in the US.

The show - which follows a group of privileged New York teenagers who get their gossip from an anonymous blog - took home six gongs including Choice TV Breakout Show and Choice TV Show Drama.

There were also acting honours for its stars Blake Lively and Chace Crawford, and Ed Westwick landed the TV Villain award for his performance.

In the film categories, The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian scooped Choice Movie Action Adventure and Will Smith vehicle Hancock landed the Choice Summer Movie Action Adventure accolade.

The Jonas Brothers were among the big winners in the music categories, walking off with six trophies including Choice Love Song for When You Look Into My Eyes.

The awards at California's Gibson Amphitheatre were hosted by Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus, who won three gongs herself.

The 15-year-old Disney sensation waltzed off with the Choice TV Show Comedy, Choice TV Actress Comedy and Choice Music Female Artist awards.

The Teen Choice Awards will air in the US on Monday August 4.
