Fishing the Ribble Link, yes you can, no you can't, yes you can, no you can't...

Did you know British Waterways (BW) does not allow fishing on the Ribble Link? This apparently is due to safety reasons and the fact that the Environment Agency use the Savick Brook, now the Ribble Link as a storm drain for Preston. In other words Preston is saved from flooding by diverting flood water down the Ribble Link and byewashes (through Lea).

Cottam will it deteriorate under PCC?

England's exams regulator is in discussions with the company behind this year's Sats fiasco to ensure that there is no repeat of the problems which delayed the delivery of millions of schoolchildren's test results.
