Fishing the Ribble Link, yes you can, no you can't, yes you can, no you can't...

Did you know British Waterways (BW) does not allow fishing on the Ribble Link? This apparently is due to safety reasons and the fact that the Environment Agency use the Savick Brook, now the Ribble Link as a storm drain for Preston. In other words Preston is saved from flooding by diverting flood water down the Ribble Link and byewashes (through Lea).

Brief History of Lea

To the west it adjoins Clifton and Wyre Borough Council, and part of Lea is represented by a a member of Parliament for the Fylde!
